2016 Year in Review

2016 was an exciting and busy year.  We have so much to be thankful for.  Here are some of the year's highlights as we embark on a hopeful, happy 2017.

NEW LAKE HOME DESIGN

This is a Lake Home we designed from the ground up with our wonderful client.  We love taking care of all the construction finish details for our clients and builders and completing the home with fine furnishings and custom window coverings.  We are here to take care of all the details from start to finish and this home was a joy to design.

SMALL BATH REMODELS

You may remember the Guest Bath below from our "Going for the Gold" post. Well it is now complete with the addition of a beautiful gold metal framed mirror.  We've chosen to keep the accessorizing to a  minimum since this bathroom's fixtures really are the jewelry.

Another fun Guest Bathroom remodel that we finished this year was for a client who wanted to add a few rustic touches to her newly updated and modern space.  Small additions like the functional wire baskets, the driftwood starburst mirror and this reclaimed wood wall treatment all work together to marry the two different styles.

The same client also updated the Bonus Room where this Guest Bath is located.  We chose sleek new cabinetry, white marble counter tops and modern shelves paired with this contemporary glass mosaic tile.

KID SPACES THAT ROCK
We had a great time this year doing projects that are centered around children and their spaces. This is our fav.

Talk about a fun room! This playroom has so many pops of color and interesting details from the brightly printed wallpaper on the ceiling to the confetti rug and even the carved details on the furnishings. Keep an eye out for updates from this project as there is more fun to come.

BRANCHING OUT
We are willing to try something new and this unique ground level tree house gave us a new fun challenge.  Built around a large old Oak tree this incredible house was made for hours of imagination and entertainment for minds young and old alike.

GIVING BACK
We have so many highlights when it comes to our projects but we want to specifically focus on some of the programs that hold a special place in our heart as we donate our time, funds and expertise to each year.

These photos were taken at the Thanksgiving Luncheon put on each year by the Greater San Antonio Builders Association.  This Thanksgiving lunch is for the many service members in the San Antonio area, all which are unable to make it home to spend holidays with family.

We donated food and Nicole and Yadi both assisted in serving our soldiers.  It's always a great time giving back to our military community.

We also decorated our annual Christmas tree at the Children's Hospital of San Antonio Child Life Services Department.  This is one of the highlights of our holiday and to see the children's faces when they see all of the brightly colored and fun ornaments is really a delight.

A new organization that we had the pleasure of working with this year and would like to continue to help in whatever way we can is The Center for Refugee Services.  A generous client of ours donated her old bedroom furniture and we delivered it and set it up in the homes of these very grateful families.

Many of these families come here with nothing but some hope for a better life and rely on the generosity of the community.  We had the pleasure of meeting two of these families and were just so touched by their stories.

If you would like to assist or have items that you would like to donate, please contact us or The Center for Refugee Services directly.  All donations are tax deductible.

SANTA'S LITTLE ELVES
It was a Happy Holiday and will be an even Happier New Year!  Here are the pics of the Christmas install for one of our favorite clients.

Beautiful garlands, tablescape and of course a gorgeous 10ft fully decked out Christmas tree.

We hope that 2016 was good to you and look forward to designing more beautiful spaces for our clients in 2017.

Cheers!  Happy New Year
