Branching Out

This summer has been a busy one with many new fun projects.  We love being outdoors so it was a pleasure to take on a new challenge of designing this unique ground level tree house.  Built in a secluded area of this beautiful San Antonio backyard around a large old Oak tree is a house made for hours of imagination and entertainment for minds young and old alike.  We kept with a color scheme similar to the existing home to seamlessly blend this new addition into the existing landscape.  Summer fun.

Drenched Color by Robert Allen

Robert Allen presents Drenched Color, a color-soaked collage of crushed reds and inky blues inspired by the intense, saturated hues achieved through natural dyeing methods. The fabric line embodies the concentrated colors present in organic materials like berries, bark, and roots. These rich tones bloom into painterly designs influenced by manual production processes, such as resist dyeing and batik. Patterns range from the globally inspired, like ikat and ogee motifs, to the geometrically influenced, such as interlocking latticework and graphic chevrons-all with the common thread of arresting color and unstudied beauty.

We are in love with the dramatic vibrancy of this 'Beet' collection from Robert Allen.

I highly recommend you look through the Robert Allen Design - Beet Collection and revel in all the luscious color combinations and stunning patterns available in this collection. If you do, be sure to comment below to let us know which one is your favorite!

Should you decide you need some of this in your home Robert Allen fabrics are available through NR Interiors, so give us a call.

Boring stair case?

What to do with a boring stair case?  In this home we painted the stair treads and risers white and added stripes in blue and grey all the way up.  Now the cool factor of this back staircase may just steal the show!

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays! What an amazing year 2015 has been. We are overjoyed that we’ve had the opportunity to work with each of you over this past year and we look forward to continuing to serve you in the new year.

As the year draws to a close we are excited to share with you some recent updates we’ve made.  For starters, our office has been freshly renovated to serve you better.  We are still located in the same office at 930 Proton Road, Suite 300D but we have improved the look and functionality of our office space and we hope you’ll let us know what you think next time you are in.  We’ve also ‘renovated’ our website. We updated our portfolio photos with some of our latest projects, included some new information about design trends and included a link to see our work ‘As Seen On TV!’  It was a great honor to have a home we designed in Cordillera featured on a TV show recently.  If you haven’t had the chance yet, please go check it out at NRInteriors.com.

We are very excited about these changes and improvements and even more excited to share them with you, our fantastic friends and clients.  We can’t wait to see what marvelous things 2016 brings and wish all the best for you and your family.

Warmly,

Nicole, Yadi & Jalayne

P.S. We’re also on Houzz, Facebook and Pinterest and we’d love to keep connected with you!

2016 Color of the Year - Blue!

We are fully on board with the color of the year. Blue is such a versatile color that can be sophisticated, soothing and welcoming. To create a serene look for this lake house on Lake McQueeney the interior color pallet is natural linens with accents of deep blue.

The vibrant blues in the rug, pillows and urn add interest to the relaxed feel of this lakefront balcony:

We chose Sherwin Williams' Regatta for the walls of this guest bedroom and love how it adds so much character and depth to the room.

This home is full of gorgeous blues which have added to the calm serenity that is found in this lake house. To see the rest of the home please check out the rest of the photos on our website at: Lake House Casual | McQueeney

NR Interiors designed a home that was featured on an episode of ‘Real Houses of’ a TV show that showcases one-of-a-kind, amazing homes all across America. A Hill Country Modern home in Cordillera Ranch that we fully designed from the ground up and also fully furnished  is showcased in this episode.  We enjoyed working with Pasadera Builders and Braswell Architecture to create this dream home for our clients. Be there or be SQUARE...

Forgive the pun... but check out these crazy fun carpet squares we installed last week:

These are square carpet 'tiles' with soft, varied textural bands of colorful stripes that literally span the rainbow. The random stripes make for entirely unique flooring. Unique flooring was absolutely necessary in this super fun and lively bedroom loft area.

I know, now you're trying to figure out what part of your home needs some really awesome carpet squares. Give us a call. we'll help you figure it out!
